  • This role focuses on integrating instructional technologies into graduate‑level academic courses delivered both in‑residence and through distance‑learning modalities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with faculty to incorporate instructional technologies that enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement.
  • Support quality assurance processes to ensure instructional materials meet academic, usability, and accessibility standards.
  • Maintain documentation, resources, and best‑practice guides for faculty and staff.
  • NPS Extended Campus Support Services
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Experience providing training, workshops, or one‑on‑one support for instructional technology tools.
  • We are seeking an experienced Instructional Technologist to support the Naval Postgraduate School's Extended Campus programs.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.

Compensation

  • $65,000-$85,000

  • 3 years of experience in instructional design, instructional technology, and supporting both in‑residence and distance‑learning environments.
  • BA/BS degree in education, instructional design, instructional technology, or a related professional discipline.
  • Understanding of how instructional technologies support adult learning theories, especially within STEM disciplines in higher education.
  • The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience with instructional design tools, learning technologies, and faculty support in a higher‑education environment.
  • Support the design, development, and delivery of instructional materials for in‑residence, hybrid, and distance‑learning courses.
  • Experience partnering with faculty to integrate instructional technologies into course design and delivery, particularly for remote or distance‑learning settings.
