About the role
- Review non-standard customer contracts with Legal, Sales, Founders Office, Revenue Operations, and Finance, and get the revenue treatment right on new products and pricing before they are rolled out
- Track new accounting standards and tell leadership what they mean for us, in plain terms
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a combination of Big 4/public accounting and industry experience at a high-growth technology or SaaS company
Responsibilities
- We're building a future where customer experiences are being redefined from support tickets and hold music to faster resolutions, richer conversations, and deeper relationships.
- Build Decagon's technical accounting policies from the ground up that hold up as we scale
- Drive conclusions with external auditors and technical consultants, and raise the rigor of external reporting as we approach IPO readiness
- We ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP while designing scalable processes and strong controls that support expansion across teams and geographies.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical accounting conclusions for non-finance stakeholders
- Familiarity with ERP and financial reporting tools
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or equivalent designation preferred
