  • DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).
  • This role is critical to advancing DTCC's multi year modernization strategy, improving resiliency, scalability, and real time processing capabilities across post trade platforms.

Responsibilities

  • As a Lead Software Engineer on the UTC Modernization program, you will lead the transformation of core trade processing systems by modernizing legacy UTC applications into cloud ready, event driven architectures.
  • You will drive the design and implementation of distributed backend services leveraging Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and relational databases, supporting key functions such as MPID processing, trade validation, and data synchronization across systems.
  • You will collaborate across squads and platform teams to deliver robust, production grade solutions that strengthen DTCC's role as trusted market infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience

Nice to have

  • Strong backend engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
  • Hands on experience with Oracle or similar relational databases.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) Experience building distributed, event driven, or cloud native applications.
  • Experience with Angular for front end development Ability to work across the full stack, contributing primarily to backend and messaging driven components while supporting UI work as needed.
