About the role

Analyze and test field failures to establish repeatability before working with the development team to address the root cause, and verify the correction before release.
At least 5 years of software quality assurance experience.
Very good understanding of QA principles and processes.

Collaborate with members of R&D and Manufacturing, among other teams, to define and implement testing strategies.
You would design and execute tests in support of our Class II cardiac monitoring devices and their supporting software infrastructure.
Develop written verification test protocols, then subsequently document and report test results to both functional and customer requirements - in a manner consistent with regulatory and internal standards.
Review requirements and design documentation to ensure technical accuracy as well as testability; act as a quality advocate throughout the development process.

At least 3-4 years of experience in testing desktop tools and/or embedded systems/hardware.
Experience with electronic test equipment (power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, etc) and ability to troubleshoot electrical and firmware issues on circuits/hardware.
Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams, potentially leading testing efforts for a given project.
Proficiency in Linux/Unix environment.

Understanding of Test-Driven Development and related use of unit testing approaches and tools (e.g., JUnit).
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, finding creative solutions as well as enjoying investigative and troubleshooting processes.
Effective written communication skills in presentation of methods and observations.
