The Propulsion Structural Engineer will contribute to the development of propulsion system components used in the motors and inverters, from a blank page to a certified product.

Minimum 2 years experience in mechanical structure analysis: static structure, bolted joints, fatigue, rotordynamics, modal.
Strong knowledge of vibration
Experience with rotating machinery
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms.
Ability to iterate mechanical designs to reduce mass and improve robustness.
Experience with electrical motors, inverters

Experience in FEA (ANSYS workbench preferred)
Methodical, rigorous and efficient
Ability to understand structure and loads, static and dynamic
Good team, communication and leadership skills required.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and identify strategies to remove roadblocks is paramount.
Mental flexibility and the ability to change direction based on new information is an absolute must in our fast paced environment
Catia 3DX or equivalent
Experience with tolerancing requirements

$90,000 - $120,000 USD
