About the role
- To coordinate nursing care for scheduled shifts that is patient and family centered in an environment that exemplifies best practice and customer service
- Nursing care guidelines are based on the ANA Code of Ethics (1), Indiana Nurse Practice Act (2), Nursing Process, and regulatory agency standards by which the RN provides patient care and shared leadership for the unit.

Responsibilities
- Responsibly coordinates distribution of resources and special orders/supplies, and documents activities /rationale for actions throughout the assigned shift.
- Initiates, maintains and monitors compliance with Emergency Preparedness (after consultation with ED physician and/or Administrator on call), HRH fire and disaster, standard precautions/infection control, hazardous waste flow, and federal/state regulatory standards, OSHA, and HIPPA.
- Documents care given per specific guidelines, performance of IV therapy tasks or unusual occurrences/near misses in the event notification system.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required for employment.
- Minimum of 2-5 years hospital experience includes experience in leadership role.
- Experience in Critical Care.
- Computer skills required.

Nice to have
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree, (BSN), preferred or required within five years from date of hire (MSN enrollment would be accepted in place of BSN for those enrolling in an accelerated program)
