About the role
- The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to translate complex data into clear, impactful insights.
- This position may be performed out of our offices located in Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls or Helena, Montana.
- Candidates must reside or relocate to Montana to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize databases and reporting systems
- Apply statistical methods to analyze trends and support forecasting and decision-making
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop client recommendations and strategies
- Support client reporting, renewal processes, and strategic initiatives

- We broker commercial and personal lines insurance which manages the risk for individuals and businesses.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data analytics/reporting, or a bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Information Systems)
- Advanced Excel and proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools
- 5+ years of experience in health insurance (carrier or TPA preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical claims (professional and facility)
- Active Life & Health Insurance license (or ability to obtain)
- Understanding of compliance requirements (HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, ACA)
- Experience in employee benefits, healthcare analytics, or financial analysis preferred
Skills
- Data cleaning, transformation, and validation
- Statistical analysis (e.g., regression, correlation, hypothesis testing)
- Database management and querying
- Data visualization and dashboard development
- Experience with reporting and analytics tools
- Familiarity with automation and basic machine learning concepts (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Client-focused mindset with a solutions-oriented approach
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
