About the role

  • The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to translate complex data into clear, impactful insights.
  • This position may be performed out of our offices located in Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls or Helena, Montana.
  • Candidates must reside or relocate to Montana to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize databases and reporting systems
  • Apply statistical methods to analyze trends and support forecasting and decision-making
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop client recommendations and strategies
  • Support client reporting, renewal processes, and strategic initiatives
  • The tools and support you need to succeed
  • We broker commercial and personal lines insurance which manages the risk for individuals and businesses.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics/reporting, or a bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Information Systems)
  • Advanced Excel and proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools
  • 5+ years of experience in health insurance (carrier or TPA preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of medical claims (professional and facility)
  • Active Life & Health Insurance license (or ability to obtain)
  • Understanding of compliance requirements (HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, ACA)
  • Experience in employee benefits, healthcare analytics, or financial analysis preferred

Skills

  • Data cleaning, transformation, and validation
  • Statistical analysis (e.g., regression, correlation, hypothesis testing)
  • Database management and querying
  • Data visualization and dashboard development
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools
  • Familiarity with automation and basic machine learning concepts (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Client-focused mindset with a solutions-oriented approach
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
