About the role

  • Micro-Motion products are used in an array of medical devices including surgical tools as well as in aerospace and other industrial applications.
  • The R&D team is an essential component of Micro-Motion's growth strategy, requiring creative, effective, and flexible candidates able to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support existing products
  • Work with Manufacturing and Quality teams on technical problem-solving initiatives to provide design improvement
  • Support customer RMA analysis to provide sustainable solutions
  • Support VAVE initiatives to control cost
  • Demonstrated ability to use data & designed experiments to make decisions & solve problems
  • Familiarity with CAD modeling, tooling design, and 3D printing

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or related field
  • A strong understanding of quality systems and other process improvement tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization.
  • Strong communication and project management skills are required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management

Nice to have

  • Preferred exposure to Product Development Life Cycle (PLDC) of a manufactured product from concept to launch
  • Preferred exposure to Engineering Change Management
  • Preferred experience with Solidworks and Oracle ERP software
  • Experience with electric motors or precision rotating equipment preferred
  • Experience with QS and ISO requirements is preferred
