About the role

  • This position is a non-tenure-track, 10-month renewable appointment.
  • The start date for this position is August 1, 2026.
  • Experience teaching applied statistics, data analysis, and sport analytics within sport science or human performance contexts is especially valued.

Requirements

  • FOR POSITION (required)
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Sports Analytics, Sport Science, or field related to the position
  • Successful teaching experience in at least one of the following content areas: statistics, sport science/sport analytics, athlete monitoring and data management
  • Experience with statistical software and data analysis tools relevant to sport science (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, or similar).
  • Demonstrates ability to work well and ethically with colleagues

Nice to have

  • Relevant human performance certifications including the CSCS, CPSS, CSCC, USAW Level 1, FMS Level 1, etc.
  • Diverse practical (hands-on) experience working in human performance with various athletic entities and sports teams
  • Experience working with novel technology in human performance and athlete monitoring
  • Evidence of knowledge or experience in incorporating technology into instructional practices
  • Demonstrates knowledge of evidence-based teaching practices
  • Preferred candidates will hold an advanced degree in statistics, sport analytics, sport science, or a closely related field, and demonstrate a strong record of teaching at the university level.
