- Pay Range Data We anticipate filling this position as a Research Engineer $97,000 - $144,000.
Responsibilities
- Research and document new ideas and write new product specifications.
- Develop application notes, white papers, technical reports, and conference and journal papers on innovative applications or ideas.
- Maintain a working knowledge of SEL products or solutions and a perspective of industry practices/trends.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related or equivalent experience
- 2+ years' working knowledge of at least one of the following:
- Experience with simulation software to analyze power system transients, load flow, and short circuit studies
- Knowledge of power system analysis, power system protection and power system stability
- Experience with analytical tool (Matlab, Simulink, etc)
Nice to have
- Cross-disciplinary knowledge of:
- Electric power systems and practices and philosophies
- Utility automation and control systems
- Utility grade communication schemes
- Digital signal processing practices
