About the role
- We're looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a fully remote, work-from-home basis.
- The ideal candidate brings previous AR experience, sharp attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- We've been in business since 1979, and we're not your average customs broker.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate across departments to resolve invoicing and collection issues
- Maintain a strict level of confidentiality at all times
Requirements
- High proficiency with Google Sheets and MS Excel
- If you enjoy a change of scenery a couple of times a week, you'll fit right in.
Nice to have
- Review, post, and send client invoices
- Analyze customer aging reports and proactively reach out to clients with open AR balances
- Respond promptly and professionally to all customer inquiries
- Apply payments and credits accurately and on time, and handle cheque deposits
- Serve as backup for other accounting team members during vacations
- Spot and recommend improvements to internal processes
- Pick up and distribute mail from our Surrey PO box and downtown Vancouver office (approximately twice a week, see "The Driving Part" below)
- Take on other projects and tasks as assigned by the Controller
Compensation
- $50,000 - $55,000 CAD/year
