About the role

  • Under the supervision of the Associate Dean and Dean of the School of Nursing & Health Sciences, the Assistant Director of Simulation and Lab serves in both instructional and administrative roles.
  • The role also includes advising undergraduate students and active participation in faculty governance and accreditation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the Director of Simulation & Labs to manage and support the simulation and lab program.
  • Develops and oversees a standardized patient program across all programs.
  • Manages inventory and maintenance of lab and simulation center equipment.
  • Maintains warranty records and ensures the lab is equipped with state-of-the-art, fully functional technology.
  • Provides technical and logistical support for simulation sessions, including set-up, break-down, and operation of high-fidelity manikins and related equipment.

  • Master's degree in Nursing required; terminal degree preferred.
  • Eligible for RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing practice.
  • Prior experience teaching in lab and/or simulation settings within a nursing program.
  • Expertise in generalist nursing competencies and standards of care.
  • Willingness to complete training in simulation education pedagogy and evaluation.

Compensation

  • In compliance with Massachusetts pay transparency law, the annual base salary range for this position is $75,000.00 - $89,000.00.
