About the role

  • This role is a remote role based in the United States.
  • This is not a data engineering or BI role.
  • This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a more self-service analytics environment so teams can answer routine questions independently while staying aligned on metric definitions and business context.
  • Lead the shift from static reporting toward AI-powered workflows - including anomaly detection, proactive insight surfacing, and natural language querying of GTM data.
  • Build, maintain, and improve the dashboards, reporting layers, and metric definitions that leaders rely on for day-to-day decision making, forecast inspection, and executive reviews.
  • Serve as a hands-on partner to Revenue Operations, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, Sales Enablement and Finance to turn business questions into clear data models, reporting, and actionable insights.
  • We're building the AI-driven future of customer success, from retention to growth!
  • What underpins it all is a culture that offers the stability, trust, and support that people need - not just to do the job, but to show up as themselves and feel connected to the work they do.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in revenue analytics, GTM analytics, revenue operations, or a closely related role in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Proven experience working across the revenue lifecycle - pipeline, forecasting, bookings, renewals, retention, GRR, and NRR.
  • Comfort working directly in Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse.
  • Experience defining business metrics, improving data quality, and establishing reporting governance across teams.
  • Ability to move fluidly between detailed analysis and high-level business context, and to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Active, hands-on experience using AI tools to improve analytics workflows.
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to translate ambiguous questions into structured analysis and clear recommendations.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with dbt or SQL-based data modeling.
  • Experience in a PE-backed or board-reporting environment.
  • Exposure to CPQ workflows and subscription data.
  • Experience with Gong, Clari, Kluster, or similar sales-tech platforms.
  • Why You'll Love It Here:
  • Gainsight is a place where innovation is shaped through collaboration, curiosity, and a shared focus on solving real-world problems.
  • Gainsters love working here for several reasons.
  • You'll also enjoy dedicated Recharge Holidays - one long weekend each quarter to relax and reset.

Compensation

  • The starting base salary range for this role is $105,000 - $119,000 USD annually.

Benefits

  • In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for an annual bonus and participation in Gainsight's equity program.
  • Additional benefits include a $10,000 lifetime fertility stipend and access to coworking spaces around the globe.
  • Own the analytics foundation for our Sales, Customer Success, and broader GTM organization, with a focus on pipeline, bookings, ARR, GRR, NRR, renewals, churn risk, and customer health.
  • Support planning and operating rhythms through analytics for forecasting, capacity, segmentation, coverage, and performance management - including territory, capacity planning, and AOP analytics.
  • More than 2,000 companies trust Gainsight's applications and AI agents to drive learning, adoption, community connection, and success for their customers.
