About the role

  • As a Test Engineer I at Sierra Space, you will begin your career by contributing to the testing and validation of aerospace systems and components.
  • You will assist in the planning, execution, and documentation of verification and validation activities, working closely with more experienced engineers and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • In this role, you will assist in the planning, conducting, and documenting of Verification and Validation (V&V) activities for aerospace systems and components.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing schematics, service manuals, test procedures, and logical troubleshooting techniques, you will support testing activities and resolve routine technical problems.

Requirements

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).
  • 2 years of experience.
  • Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from senior engineers.
  • Familiarity with Product and Quality Assurance principles and exposure to generation and disposition of product non-conformances.
  • Familiarity with schematics, service manuals, test procedures, and logical troubleshooting techniques.

  • Strong communication skills to clearly and effectively convey basic technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Basic problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute to routine technical solutions.

Compensation

  • $73,175.00 - $100,615.25
  • Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
  • To conform to U.S. Government international trade regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.
