As a Senior Software Engineer (iOS) on the Digital Products team, you will play a key role in designing, building, and delivering high-quality iOS applications that power the connected vehicle experience.
Design, develop, maintain, and release robust, scalable, and user-centric iOS applications.
Lead Own the implementation of complex mobile features from concept through production, ensuring high standards for performance, reliability, maintainability, and security.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and cross-functional partners to deliver seamless end-to-end customer experiences.
Drive technical excellence through code reviews, architecture discussions, and adherence to engineering best practices.
Develop and maintain automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, and regression testing, to ensure application quality and stability.
Mentor and support junior engineers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and collaborative problem-solving.
Solid understanding of mobile platform architecture, UI/UX design principles and frameworks, GraphQL, mobile security and performance optimization techniques.

Applicants should expect that the role may require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering shipping customer facing applications on iOS.
Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps, and mobile release processes.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience operating in start-up settings, launching 0 to 1 product, and driving graduation to highly customized applications.

Experience with mobile app testing, experimentation frameworks and automation frameworks.
Experience working with large scale cloud systems through a provider like AWS

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program.
Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.
The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $140,000.00 - $170,000.00
Initial California base salary range = 154,000 - $187,000
