About the role

  • 1: Supervising the operation of the Lighting Department of the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts during set-ups and performances.
  • 2: During evening/weekend events or performances may be responsible for the management of the facility.
  • 1: Assist in training, overseeing and scheduling staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of experience in various production related facets of the performing arts demonstrating a responsibility progression.
  • Specific skills in Stage Rigging, Stage Lighting and Stage Management are required.
  • Supervision of stage technicians as required.
  • This includes, as required, the staff and students of Theatre, Film and Creative Writing Departments, Ceremonies Office, and the UBC School of Music.
  • 14: Performs other related duties as required.
  • Various shift work required.

Nice to have

  • Specific skills in Stage/Music Audio are preferred but not required.

Compensation

  • $32.93 - $32.93 CAD Hourly
