About the role

  • Work Schedule: This position typically works Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with occasional weekend or holiday coverage based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains relationships with clients through regular and routine on- site visits and utilizes these visits to ascertain level of satisfaction with HNL; educates clients on proper lab test ordering to meet clinical needs and regularly seeks additional business opportunities.
  • Collaborates with the internal departments of HNL Lab Medicine to provide service solutions to meet the hospital clients' needs and requirements.
  • Performs the following on a daily basis:
  • Records all Client Opportunities and maintains accurate information throughout the complete sales cycle.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Education/Experience:
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver's license with no recent history of suspension. Preferred Understanding of Anatomic Pathology technical and professional testing for all tissue and other specimen types. Clinical background is required (RN, BSN, PA-C, CRNP, etc.)
  • Language Ability:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Math Ability:

  • Computer Skills:

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university
  • or Associates Degree (A.A./A.Sc.), one to two years related experience and/or training
  • Valid driver's license with no recent history of suspension.
  • Preferred Understanding of Anatomic Pathology technical and professional testing for all tissue and other specimen types.
  • Clinical background is required (RN, BSN, PA-C, CRNP, etc.)

  • Personnel actions and programs include, but are not limited to recruitment, selection, hiring, transfers, promotions, terminations, compensation, benefits, educational programs and/or social activities.
  • Works closely with the Senior Executive, Health Systems Partnerships, to execute strategic plans for LVHN and other health system partner hospitals to meet and exceed company goals.
  • Works closely with the Acute Care Lab directors and staff and POC testing staff to identify areas of opportunity for education, improvement, and efficiency as it relates to lab ordering across the hospitals.
  • Displays/demonstrates lab services through use of company literature that emphasizes features and benefits of HNL Lab Medicine testing services.
  • Regularly communicates relevant information regarding industry trends, new business opportunities, threats to existing customers and competitive information to Senior Executive, Health Systems Partnerships.
  • In conjunction with HNL's marketing department, develops educational pieces required for hospital clients due to the specific nature of their inpatient testing needs.
