About the role
- HR promotes an atmosphere of vitality and well-being.
- This position works closely with other departments and their administration to service their employment needs.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements processes and procedures for one or many various HR functions such as employee trainings, recruitments, compensation, and payroll
- The HR Business Partner is a temporary (4-5 month) full-time, salaried/exempt, academic staff position.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in conflict management.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment law and HR practices.
- Ability to analyze complex situations and effectively recommend solutions.
- This position requires a working knowledge of employment laws.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of general human resource/talent management principles.
- Knowledge of UW System and UW Stevens Point policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree or Associates degree in human resources or related field.
- One year of related experience in human resources.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems (Workday)
