About the role

  • Logos Space is a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite system purpose-built to serve the connectivity needs of commercial enterprise government users. We will help fill an important gap in the market, providing resilient, high-performance satellite-based connectivity services to enterprise and government customers worldwide. Business customers have contracts with
  • agreed-upon performance standards for their broadband, and Logos will build these capabilities into the system from the beginning. Speed, reliability, and security are the foundation of the system. Logos is designed to extend cloud and data center network connectivity anywhere in the world to fixed, seaborne, and airborne terminals. Logos is led by a team

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architectural design and detailed RF and baseband hardware engineering for ground based terminals.
  • Define requirements and manage the integration of both High Gain Antennas (HGAs) and Low Gain Antennas (LGAs) along with the baseband subsystems on the terminal.
  • Work closely with antenna design specialists.
  • Develop and oversee RF and baseband test facilities for the terminals as well as plans and procedures for payload/terminal integration.
  • Lead testing activities at the unit, subsystem, and system levels.
  • Lead the generation and maintenance of documentation of internal and external processes and technically comprehensive design documentation, specifications, test reports, and review materials.
  • Manage technical risks and propose mitigation strategies, lead design reviews and technical deep dives.
  • Build an interdisciplinary team that spans development, integration, and at-scale manufacturing of RF hardware systems.
  • Manage terminal hardware operations including cost, schedule, and performance.

Requirements

  • Significant professional experience with team building as well as team and function planning.
  • Significant professional experience with developing and adapting cost and schedule under dynamic conditions.
  • 10+ years of experience in RF/microwave circuit and system design for satellite communications, radar, or similar aerospace applications.
  • Experience with antenna systems, including both high-gain (e.g., parabolic reflectors, phased arrays) and low-gain (e.g., patch, omnidirectional) antennas.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and systems issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience with full product life cycle (design, validation, qualification, and production).
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers for high scale production.

Nice to have

  • Experience with hardware development processes, including environmental effects and qualification.
  • Experience with RF-related environmental testing (thermal, vibration, etc).
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams and managing technical projects.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and suppliers for ground based hardware.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and homologation requirements (e.g., FCC, ITU) for satellite communications.
  • Logos Space Services is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering creativity, curiosity and diverse perspectives among employees.
  • Offers will be contingent on the candidate's ability to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.
  • Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Electrical Engineering with a focus on RF/Microwave and baseband hardware, or a closely related technical field.

Skills

  • Speed, reliability, and security are the foundation of the system.
