Responsibilities
- Ardent is seeking a Mid-Level Cartographer to serve as the senior cartographic lead, responsible for the full geospatial data lifecycle.
- Lead geospatial data lifecycle execution including requirements investigation, feature creation/editing, attribution, and metadata documentation.
- Perform rigorous QA/QC on geospatial data before integration into authoritative enterprise geodatabases (ArcSDE/PostgreSQL).
- Conduct simple to complex spatial analyses and document results through formal Analysis Methodology Reports.
- Support geospatial data release and distribution protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT-related field demonstrating the ability to work independently or under general direction.
- Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro, ArcSDE, and PostgreSQL in an enterprise geospatial environment.
- Strong understanding of geospatial data standards, metadata, and cartographic principles.
- Experience authoring technical reports and documentation.
- Due to the nature of the work we support, all candidates in consideration for this role must be willing to undergo the government issued background investigation process.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Associate degree in management, engineering, computer science, mathematics, or an IT-related field is required
