Requirements
- One (1) year Emergency or Telemetry experience required (Preference will be given to candidates with current Emergency nursing experience).
- Two (2) years Med/Surg experience required
- Competent in IV therapy including initiation and knowledge of IV therapy.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in emergency situations.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven attendance record
- Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
- Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Current BCLS Certification
- Demonstrated assessment skills, enrolled in or completed Physical Assessment Course
- Updated IV course and IV medication administration - mandatory within 3 months of hire
- Demonstrated physical assessment skills
- Demonstrated lifelong learner
Skills
- Demonstrated clinical assessment and patient/family teaching skills.
Compensation
- $37.69 to $39.17 per hour
