About the role

  • The ideal candidate will assist fabricators, welders, and shop personnel with material handling, equipment setup, shop organization, and general labor activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
  • This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and fabrication environment.
  • Assist fabricators, welders, and shop personnel with daily fabrication activities.

Responsibilities

  • Loenbro is seeking a dependable and motivated Fabrication Shop Laborer to support daily fabrication shop operations.
  • Support cutting, fitting, and assembly operations as directed by shop supervision.
  • Maintain shop cleanliness through housekeeping, debris removal, and organization of work areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support fabrication shop operations.

Requirements

  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment of varying weights.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and remain on feet for extended periods.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in a fabrication shop, manufacturing facility, or industrial construction environment.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of fabrication tools, equipment, and shop safety practices.
  • Skilled in basic math, including measurements, fractions, and reading a tape measure.
  • Able to pass preliminary and periodic drug testing.
  • Indoor fabrication and manufacturing shop environment.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials and equipment.
  • Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and reaching throughout the workday.

Skills

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, and other shop equipment under supervision.
  • Inspect tools and equipment for safe operation and report maintenance concerns.
