STG Inc Temporary This is an evergreen position, meaning we accept applications year-round and review them on a rolling basis as new opportunities become available.

As the Laborer, you will support skilled workers and perform manual labor to complete general construction tasks as a productive member of the STG construction crew in Alaska.

First Aid/CPR training or ability to become certified.
Ability to pass a drug, driving, and background screenings.
Responsible for reporting any incident, situation or activity that may affect the Company's ability to operate safely, ethically and profitably to the supervisor and the Company Safety Manager.
Maintain any required certifications mandatory by law or company policy.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One-year experience in the construction field preferred.
Prior experience in Alaska's rural construction industry is preferred.
Rigger/Signalperson certification preferred.
Heavy equipment experience preferred.

STG Inc has a fast-paced multi-tasking office environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance.

All around knowledge of materials, terms, and practices in construction field.
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Ability to gain basic knowledge of rigging protocols and hand signals.
Ability to safely utilize electronic test equipment and other specialized tools in performance of duties.
Skill in organizing resources, establishing priorities, meeting deadlines and general time management.
Ability to actively listen and follow instructions.
Ability to work productively under pressure.
Strong self-motivation and work ethic; ability to work with or without direct supervision.
Ability to participate in group meetings.
Ability to travel to remote places for work-related purposes (up to 100% of the time).
Ability to report to work consistently on time and work a flexible schedule, up to 12 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Ability to live and work with co-workers in close quarters and keep good morale.
