About the role
- The Purchasing Agent will mainly be responsible for negotiating prices with vendors and contractors.
- This individual will also be working closely with various departments in the plant to ensure availability of equipment.
- This role will report directly to the plant manager.
Responsibilities
- Implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received
- Support inventory control of finished goods
- Work directly with Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Team to support maintenance activities and spare parts procurement
- Support plant with HSE audit requirements including internal and external reporting
Requirements
- Must have at least 5 years of working experience in a related role
- Must have experience using ERP systems
- Must have experience working in a manufacturing setting
- Must be able to collaborate with multiple individuals or departments
Nice to have
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a purchasing-related field preferred, or equivalent work experience demonstrating relevant knowledge and skills.
