About the role

  • The Adjunct Faculty Instructor for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) courses will utilize their subject matter expertise to provide quality instruction and facilitate learning.
  • This position requires the instructor to adhere to established lesson plans, meet course objectives, and comply with academic and professional standards.
  • Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to: Managing and supervising students during classroom and practical skills training to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.

Requirements

  • Current EMT certification or higher (e.g., paramedic), required.
  • must be able to engage professionally with students and staff.

Skills

  • At least two years of full-time experience in the field of Emergency Medical Services or related services, required.
  • Previous teaching or instructional experience is preferred, especially in adult education.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial; must be able to engage professionally with students and staff.
  • Ability to utilize current technology and teaching tools to enhance the learning experience.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to various teaching methodologies and environments, including hybrid formats as needed.
