About the role

  • As a Business Development Representative, your primary focus will be on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, cultivating strong client relationships, and promoting the company's services within the industrial construction industry.
  • You will work closely with the Division Director of Industrial Services and other internal teams to achieve ambitious growth targets and strategic goals.
  • This individual should be a technical expert in the industrial field, with a strong knowledge of industrial facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, owners, general contractors, industry partners, and government agencies.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, lead generation, and market research.
  • Lead the development of proposals, bids, and presentations in collaboration with internal
  • Negotiate contracts and support execution while ensuring alignment with company objectives and risk guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline information using the company's CRM
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, legal, and project management teams to support successful project handoff and execution.
  • Partner with marketing and communications teams to support the development of sales collateral and marketing materials.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in relevant software and CRM systems, Salesforce
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of industrial facilities, equipment, and construction markets, with the ability to evaluate technical scopes of work.
  • Proven skills in business development, client relationship management, and contract negotiation within an industrial or construction environment.

Nice to have

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned strategic accounts throughout the project lifecycle to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Conduct facility tours and site visits to evaluate potential scopes of work from a technical
  • Communicate technical findings and business opportunities clearly to internal stakeholders for review and decision-making.
  • Track client interactions, opportunities, and business development activities to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure a smooth transition from contract award to project delivery.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand market presence.
