About the role

  • This role operates with a high level of independent judgment and is responsible for implementing functional strategy, administering and coordinating programs, and counseling and advising management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the product development team for electric power components, managing development and release activities in alignment with program timing and execution requirements.
  • Lead CoSIM and virtual validation activities for relevant components and systems.
  • Develop, execute and evaluate designs at the component, subsystem, and system levels, including analysis, development, and testing.
  • Lead and support advanced technical projects related to electric power for seating systems and SDV, including both VIP and SDV hardware.
  • Support product development teams as an advocate for electric module technology integration with suppliers, including using NeoVI tools for in-vehicle root cause and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure component design, development and release are robustly integrated within the vehicle architecture and delivered on time with quality.
  • Manage supplier timing and associated deliverables (e.g., run PDT meetings, issue investigation and resolution, on-vehicle investigation and analysis, part deliveries to test vehicles and assembly plants).
  • Contribute to and manage the component Statement of Requirements (eSOR), component timing plan, PDT workbook, issue tracking, and updates specific to SDV requirements.
  • Collaborate with AVDC (advanced engineering) to propose technical solutions for current and new programs, including packaging, clearances and interface documentation (ICDm, ICDe, ICDs).
  • Execute quality chain deliverables such as DFMEAs and DRBFMs to drive defect-free components.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant Electric Power experience (or equivalent) required
  • Minimum 3 years of automotive industry experience required
  • Ability to read system engineering schematics and understand electronic / electrical functionality
  • Knowledge of vehicle serial data communications (CAN, GMLAN, LIN,)
  • Use 3D math modeling to study component packaging and surrounding interfaces as required.

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering - BSEE required, MSEE preferred
