About the role

  • The Automation Technician II is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial automation and control systems.
  • The Automation Technician II works in industrial and oil and gas environments and assists in ensuring systems operate safely, reliably, and in accordance with company standards and project specifications.
  • Install and terminate control wiring for PLC panels, instrumentation, and field devices.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial automation and control systems.
  • Install and maintain instrumentation including pressure, temperature, level, and flow transmitters.
  • Maintain documentation related to equipment installation, calibration, and troubleshooting activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working with industrial automation, instrumentation, or electrical systems.
  • Working knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, loop diagrams, and control schematics.
  • Familiarity with ROC800 & Allen Bradley PLC systems and industrial automation equipment.
  • Experience using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and loop calibrators.

Nice to have

  • Technical certification or associate degree in electrical technology, instrumentation, automation, or a related field.
  • Experience with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, ROC800, or similar systems.
  • Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or oil and gas environments.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • H2S Awareness certification.
  • First Aid / CPR certification.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.

Skills

  • Troubleshoot electrical and automation system issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
