About the role
- The EWS Blended Seminar Program provides Professional Military Education (PME) to Marine officers through a combination of resident and non-resident instruction.
- The program is delivered in three phases consisting of an initial resident seminar period, a non-resident online seminar period, and a final resident seminar period.
- The complete program is conducted twice during each Academic Year (AY).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience serving as a Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, Operations Officer, or Primary Staff Officer at the battalion, squadron, or higher level.
- Participate in faculty development, curriculum reviews, and professional development activities as required.
- Successfully complete required faculty orientation and certification requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience utilizing Socratic teaching methodologies.
- Operational planning or expeditionary operations experience within Marine Corps or Joint organizations.
- Security Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Active Secret clearance (Tier 3 Investigation) required.
- Part-time adjunct position.
- Courses are generally delivered outside normal duty hours.
- Faculty assignments vary based on regional enrollment and seminar demand.
Compensation
- The Sergeant's School Seminar Program (5500) and Staff Noncommissioned Officer Leadership School Seminar Program (6800) are each 15 weeks in duration and are typically offered three times per year.
