About the role

  • Prepare portions of or complete contract proposal estimates for one or more disciplines, including the determination of applicable project plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain files of working documents as back up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.
  • May review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
  • Lead and coordinate total estimating effort relevant to particular bid/project as assigned.
  • Maintain files of working documents as back up for estimates figures.
  • Works with Corporate office to prepare bid forms, request bid bonds, insurance, and coordinate delivery of bid documents between offices.
  • Develop and maintain project lead log for the Virginia Office.
  • Maintain prequalification for State, City & County Agencies Solicit subcontractors and suppliers in support of project bids.
  • Provide technical support to personnel preparing discipline estimates for assigned bids.
  • Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures.
  • Maintain subcontractor data base and develop positive relationships with subcontractors.

  • F.H. Paschen has over 115 years of experience in the construction industry.
