About the role

Responsibilities
- Create and maintain high-quality lighting setups for CG assets, environments, and effects.
- Collaborate with CG Supervisors, VFX Supervisors, and Compositors to achieve the desired visual style and technical requirements.
- Optimize scenes and renders while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Help establish and maintain efficient lighting workflows and best practices.
- Support and mentor junior and intermediate artists when appropriate.
Requirements
- You enjoy collaborating across departments and can balance creative goals with production deadlines.
- 5+ years of experience in lighting and rendering for VFX, episodic, or feature film productions.
- Strong understanding of lighting principles, composition, color theory, and photorealistic rendering.
- Advanced knowledge of Maya and modern rendering engines such as Arnold, Redshift, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of CG integration workflows and compositing requirements.
- Ability to interpret creative direction and execute work with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with look development, shaders, materials, AOVs, and render optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience working within a fast-paced production environment and managing multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with episodic and streaming production pipelines is an asset.
