About the role
- JB Harris Logistics LLC is searching for experienced Freight Agents!
- As a freight agent/broker, you will serve as a liaison between shippers and carriers.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with carriers and shippers, negotiating freight rates, and ensuring the efficient transportation of goods.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and shippers to ensure their freight needs are met.
- Coordinate and manage the transportation and movement of goods.
- Utilize logistics software to manage freight schedules, track shipments, and resolve any issues that arise during transit.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions, correspondences, and documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Freight Broker or in a similar role in the transportation industry.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- 2 years (Required)
- 1 year (Required)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with logistics software.

- Bachelor's degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
