About the role
- The job has deep knowledge and expertise within a Nursing specialty.
- Establishes plans for the safe distribution of medications.
- Uses specialized depth and breadth of experience in Healthcare issues to direct primary health care to patients, in collaboration with consulting physician and multidisciplinary health teams.
Responsibilities
- Provides collaborative lead nursing support for ONNs at 5 clinical sites.
- Works with clinical trials program physician leadership and UCCCC Clinical Trials Support Office (CTSO) to increase trial accruals, shape trials program development.
- Supports development of clinical standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Gynecology Oncology ONNs and PAs.
- Maintains very limited direct patient care ONN clinic support.
- Partners in the coordination of new hire onboarding / training for Gynecologic Oncology Nurse Navigators.
- Manages data collection, analytics, and reporting related to clinical trials growth, accrual metrics, and operational efficiency to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement in trial nursing care.
- Collaborates with and provides expertise to nurses, patients, families, physicians, and community resources for coordination of patient care. Selects appropriate communications approach to achieve desired outcomes of patient care.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Requirements
- include a college or university degree in related field.
- Experience in solid tumor oncology and Gynecologic Oncology.
- Prior experience with enrolling and caring for patients on clinical trials.
- Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality while handling sensitive.
Nice to have
- Advanced Nursing degree (CNL, CNE, CNS strongly preferred).
Skills
- Demonstrated patient facing clinical excellence, effective leadership and teaching skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical skills.
Compensation
- $110,000.00 - $155,000.00 The included pay rate or range represents the University's good faith estimate of the possible compensation offer for this role at the time of posting.
