About the role
- Our Northwest Sales and Application team is seeking an FAE (Field Application Engineer).
- You will become a trusted technical advisor.
- This position will expose you to a wide variety of challenging applications spanning consumer, transportation, medical, military, and security markets.
Responsibilities
- Develop proof-of-concept solutions for helping our clients get familiar with Microchip products.
- Willingness to travel to receive training or to support other regions as needed.

Nice to have
- Experienced in embedded C programming language.
- Embedded Linux knowledge is a plus.
Skills
- 4-5 years of experience in embedded systems and outstanding technical skills
- Know-how of embedded security cryptography, PKI principles and certificate management
- Working knowledge of IOT systems and cloud connectivity (Google, AWS, Azure)
- Experienced in embedded C programming language. Embedded Linux knowledge is a plus.
- BS in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- Organizational skills
- Work effectively with Field Sales and Business Unit teams
- Ability to operate under minimal guidance and assume personal responsibility/accountability comfortably.
- Self-starting learner - proactively keeps up to date with new technologies and products
Compensation
- We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry.
- It consists of competitive base pay, restricted stock units, and quarterly bonus payments.
- The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $93,000-$226,000.* *Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
