Responsibilities

  • Three maverick farmers started it all - and we've been making our own way ever since.
  • The Senior Government Affairs Specialist will monitor priority legislation at the state level and develop and implement advocacy strategies as needed.
  • The Senior Specialist will also manage the Ocean Spray Political Action Committee and support the Director, Government Affairs & Public Policy on federal (U.S. and Canada) and global issues as needed.
  • Work with Director, Government Affairs & Public Policy to develop advocacy strategies for significant state-level legislation, as needed
  • Monitor state and federal funding opportunities for the cooperative and individual growers and collaborate with other teams, including Sustainability and Grower Relations, to assist in applying for funds.
  • Help manage and prioritize
  • Support the Director, Government Affairs & Public Policy with federal (U.S. and Canada) and global advocacy efforts, as needed, including by researching, summarizing, and tracking key policy proposals, as well as updating tracking documents and presentation materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in political science/public policy/government or related field
  • Experience in government or politics
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of several state-level legislative processes and politics.
  • Experience managing a political action committee (PAC), including preparing all required Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings and disclosures, as well as leading solicitation campaigns.
  • Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)
  • At least 3 Years of Experience

Compensation

  • The base salary range information above serves as a guideline of the position's typical hiring range.
  • Certain positions may be eligible for short-term and long-term incentive rewards.
  • $79,400 - $109,230
