About the role
- ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN FINANCE BOARD The Campaign Finance Board is a nonpartisan, independent city agency that empowers New Yorkers to have a greater impact on their elections.
- NYC Votes, our voter engagement initiative, meets people where they are to share trustworthy election information and help New Yorkers make a plan to vote.
- And we lift the veil on how candidates raise and spend money, increasing transparency and accountability in local government.
Responsibilities
- We make it easier for New Yorkers to vote, meaningfully support candidates for city office, and run for office themselves.
- We publish the citywide Voter Guide, which delivers information about candidates directly to voters' doors.
- Our public matching funds program ensures small contributions can make a big difference, allowing regular people to run for office by relying on the support of other regular people, not just wealthy donors and special interests.
Requirements
- Advanced understanding of project management methodologies and the ability to determine which approaches are appropriate based on project size, risk, complexity, stakeholder needs, and organizational context.
- Strong understanding of how to design and improve project systems, workflows, governance structures, and communication rhythms that support large-scale, recurring, and cross-functional work.
- Knowledge of change management practices, including how to guide teams through process changes, new tools, evolving requirements, and shifting priorities.
- Comfort using project management software and digital tools such as Monday.com, Ziflow, etc with the ability to evaluate whether existing tools and workflows are effectively supporting team needs.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and requirements, including WCAG 2.1/2.2 guidelines, Section 508 compliance, and best practices for producing accessible digital and print materials.

- Candidates with these qualifications will be given preference in the selection process.
- At least 5 years of work experience overseeing major projects across multiple teams or stakeholders.
- Experience managing projects with budgets of $1 million or more.
- overseeing digital projects and/or leveraging technology to improve the efficiency and quality of existing processes.
- Knowledge of language(s) other than English.
- Lived or work experience within immigrant, disabled and/or justice impacted communities.
