  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position will have supervisory responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically lead plant EHS function as a valuable business partner.
  • Proactively analyze opportunity for improvements; work collaboratively with leadership to develop, implement, and measure EHS solutions.
  • Facilitate the development and maintenance of behaviors, attitudes, and a safety culture that supports the goals and behaviors and actions of George's and will act as a change agent to accelerate best practice sharing within the facility.
  • Direct the EHS programs for the plant; recommend the design and implementation of new programs to minimize company losses due to incidents; measure effectiveness of programs.
  • Lead the compliance with OSHA regulations and OSHA/George's Ergonomic program; inspect machinery, equipment and working conditions to ensure compliance with OSHA; maintain OSHA file and support documents.
  • Working in conjunction with plant management, this position drives EHS capabilities within the facility.
  • include formulate a proactive, local EHS strategy that drives the plant to become sustainable, healthy, and safe operationally.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of management experience in environmental, safety, and sustainability OR Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OSHA VPP, or similar EHS Management System
  • take immediate corrective action if required

Compensation

  • $66,300 - $100,000
