Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain environmental procedures, guides and plans.
  • Provide quality control via peer review of reports and documents generated by other members of the Environmental Department.
  • Maintain a w orking knowledge of current and proposed federal and state environmental requirements.
  • Perform the primary thinking encompassed by this job description.
  • Perform duties in a manner that protects personal safety as well as the safety of others.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of environmental compliance or other relevant industry experience in a petrochemical plant setting
  • A current, v alid T ransportation W orker Identification Credential (TWIC) card is required.
  • Physical presence and predictable attendance required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Employee must be able to evacuate when required.
  • Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
  • Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
  • Successful candidate must satisfy background screening, including motor vehicle record screening, drug testing & pre-employment physical requirements before starting work.

Nice to have

  • B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering preferred
