About the role

- Assist in the implementation of energy conservation and facility improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on mechanical equipment and assist with basic troubleshooting and repairs to help maintain efficient facility operations.
- Respond promptly to facility maintenance requests and operational needs to minimize downtime and support daily operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, inspections, and inventory of supplies and parts.
- Collaborate with other departments as needed to complete maintenance projects, dispose of used and/or hazardous materials, and resolve maintenance-related issues.
Requirements
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Ability to walk and stand frequently on concrete surfaces.
- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and reach.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 35 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or vocational training in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related field preferred.
Nice to have
- Basic PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Work, Outlook).
- Must be able to obtain forklift certification.
- Basic knowledge of facility maintenance practices and equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude utilizing hand and power tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment or facility issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
