About the role
- - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities
- Design and maintain the API Proxy front-end for Google's One Platform, ensuring highly performant translation between Stubby, gRPC, and HTTP protocols at massive scale.
- Develop robust control plane capabilities using C++ and distributed systems, integrating critical features like authentication, authorization, rate limiting, logging, and monitoring.
- Implement resilient architectures handling hundreds of millions of Queries Per Second (QPS), incorporating load shedding and error sanitization to protect Google and Cloud APIs.
- Enterprise Security Framework (ESF) PDP framework, and strengthen Model Armor support for OneMCP and the Agent Cloud Ecosystem.
- Leverage Envoy Proxy expertise to improve platform support for service extensions like ExtProc and partner with engineering teams to converge Cloud ESF and ESF.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
- 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Nice to have
- Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

Compensation
- US: $207000 - $300000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
