About the role
- This is a builder's role as much as a leadership one.
- This is a product leadership and execution role.
- Strategy, judgment, and user-first thinking are what set the bar.
Responsibilities
- You'll personally own and ship one or more product lines, both evolving existing products and launching new ones, carrying them from problem through launch and iteration yourself, not only through your PMs.
- The multi-phase product thesis for Everyday Money: which products to build, which features each should have to be the best for our users, which segments to tackle, in what sequence to build, and how each drives retention and eventually profitability.
- Our AI innovation labs for the area: leading the team to create breakthrough consumer experiences built on agentic AI for everyday money, and turning those bets into shipped products.
- Build-vs-buy and build-vs-partner decisions, including working with external partners and financial institutions to launch capabilities quickly.
- The team, as a coach. Managing, developing, and setting the bar for two PMs who own their own product lines, while you stay hands-on in yours. Growing the org as the area proves out.
- The user experience across the area, in close partnership with design, including how it fits within and reinforces the larger Tilt experience rather than standing as its own island.
- By day 60: A clear, sequenced product thesis and roadmap, with a defensible point of view on which products to build first, to whom, and why, and alignment from senior stakeholders.
- By day 90: Hands-on in execution, with at least one product line you personally own in build, including any partner or infrastructure work needed to launch it, and your PMs moving on theirs.
