About the role

  • This position plays an important role in the implementation of programming and care plans by providing direct and indirect patient care that complies with Northpoint policies and procedures for unlicensed staff.
  • The Recovery Technician works in a variety of settings throughout the week, including onsite at the facility and other community activities.
  • Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors and communicate significant observations to clinical staff

Responsibilities

  • Maintains daily schedules and structure, specifically around transport times, meal times, transition times, and others outside of normal programming hours
  • Oversee and manage the safe and efficient transport of patients to and from our facilities
  • Utilize therapeutic communication skills and maintain professional boundaries with patients and their families
  • Be a role model for patients and create a positive culture with staff by emulating professional attitude, language, and communication

Requirements

  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required
  • 1+ year of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge and skills in English usage, interpersonal relationships and excellent communication skills
  • Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
  • Knowledge of surrounding geographic area to ensure effective and efficient routing
  • Ability to organize and prioritize competing priorities and work time to balance demands
  • Document information regarding client care and behavior as required in established policies and procedures

Compensation

  • $22 - $24.50 USD
  • $22-24.50 + Shift Differential
