  • As a Special Unit Surgery Coordinator, you will be responsible for all activities related to the successful completion of all scheduled and unscheduled surgeries and procedures, as well as patient admissions and appointments.

Responsibilities

  • Validate patient physician information and ensure accurate collection.
  • Perform scheduling both intra- and inter-departmentally as requested by physician orders.
  • Maintain provider schedules for designated unit.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in use of Personal Computers (PC) and general knowledge of PC based systems and software
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel applications
  • Working knowledge of computerized appointment/OR scheduling systems, patient billing, insurance processing or other related office functions to coordinate patient access
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Nice to have

  • Bilingual Spanish language skills

Compensation

  • You will be required to comply with this program, which will include obtaining an influenza vaccination on an annual basis or obtaining an approved exemption.
