About the role

  • Job Description: Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Sr.
  • Staff Reservoir Engineer reporting to the Reservoir Engineering Manager in Midland, Texas.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong technical as well as communication skills and be able to contribute his/her expertise while working on a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of oil and gas engineering experience
  • 4+ years of reservoir engineering experience
  • Must have relevant reservoir engineering experience with unconventional resource plays in the Permian Basin
  • Must be self-motivated and capable of independently integrating and leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in ComboCurve, Spotfire and Microsoft Office

Nice to have

  • Some operations experience (production, completions, drilling, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Whitson (RTA) and AI platforms such as Claude
  • Experience in NM Delaware Basin on an asset team as a reservoir engineer

Skills

  • Work with multidisciplinary team to generate and execute a development plan that maximizes the value of PR's Delaware Basin Assets
  • Analyze lateral and vertical well spacing across all formations to determine optimal spacing within each proposed development
  • Analyze reservoir fluids and monitor production performance to generate accurate production forecasts for all wells
  • Technical analysis of potential acquisitions, divestitures, and trades and integrate with multidisciplinary team to execute on A&D strategy
