About the role

  • Assist with experiments by performing a variety of basic molecular, cellular, and biological research techniques and procedures including PCR reactions, gel electrophoresis, assays, cell cultures and Northern and Western analysis.
  • Sort and process tissue and blood samples.
  • Prepare technical reports, summaries, and experimental documentation to track research progress and results for review by senior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, record, and organize experimental data accurately to support analysis and reporting needs for research projects.
  • Maintain laboratory organization, equipment, and supplies through routine checks and restocking to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Follow all institutional safety, ethical, and regulatory protocols in daily research activities to maintain compliance and laboratory safety.
  • Support senior staff and the Principal Investigator with day-to-day laboratory tasks and experimental planning to facilitate research progress.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment using various methods, providing basic guidance to colleagues when needed to ensure proper equipment function.
  • Maintain detailed records of procedures, observations, and results to support overall research integrity and regulatory compliance.
