About the role
- Assist with experiments by performing a variety of basic molecular, cellular, and biological research techniques and procedures including PCR reactions, gel electrophoresis, assays, cell cultures and Northern and Western analysis.
- Sort and process tissue and blood samples.
- Prepare technical reports, summaries, and experimental documentation to track research progress and results for review by senior staff.
Responsibilities
- Collect, record, and organize experimental data accurately to support analysis and reporting needs for research projects.
- Maintain laboratory organization, equipment, and supplies through routine checks and restocking to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Follow all institutional safety, ethical, and regulatory protocols in daily research activities to maintain compliance and laboratory safety.
- Support senior staff and the Principal Investigator with day-to-day laboratory tasks and experimental planning to facilitate research progress.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment using various methods, providing basic guidance to colleagues when needed to ensure proper equipment function.
- Maintain detailed records of procedures, observations, and results to support overall research integrity and regulatory compliance.

- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
- Ability to work with sensitive information and equipment.
- Knowledge conducting experiments in a research lab and lab operating procedures.
