About the role

  • Desjardins General Insurance Group is looking for a data governance analyst.
  • You play a key role in data valorization and governance in the Data Analytics Department.
  • The department's contribution will directly influence the future of data use as a strategic asset in business processes and the development of new data foundations.

Responsibilities

  • Document the data flows and data transformation logic from capture to delivery.
  • Develop and maintain data governance logs, tools and dashboards.
  • Apply pragmatic data governance approaches that improve operational activities and implement continuous improvement processes for data quality management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
  • Proficiency in a query language such as SQL, SAS or Python for exploratory analysis and profiling tasks
  • Proficiency in visualization language like Power BI to monitor data quality
