Responsibilities
- Teach and Inspire: Lead your assigned group of campers with engaging activities that bring NORY's core values to life, inspiring curiosity and enthusiasm.
- Support the Site Director & Teachers: Work closely with your Site Director to coach and train teachers, helping them understand the purpose behind each activity and effectively implement safety and engagement protocols.
- Uphold Core Camp Goals: Provide daily support to ensure the camp's three pillars-Safety, Fun, and NORY Core Values (resilience, inquisitiveness, and empathy)-are met.
- In this role, you'll serve as a go-to resource for instructional strategies, engage in hands-on teaching, support the Site Director and staff, assist with daily administrative tasks, and ensure that camp operations run seamlessly.
- Work closely with your Site Director to coach and train teachers, helping them understand the purpose behind each activity and effectively implement safety and engagement protocols.
- Provide daily support to ensure the camp's three pillars-Safety, Fun, and NORY Core Values (resilience, inquisitiveness, and empathy)-are met.
Requirements
- Leadership Experience: Proven success guiding a team and cultivating a collaborative, supportive environment.
- Higher pay tiers are available for candidates with 8+ years of experience who successfully complete NORY evaluation requirements.

- Family Engagement: Experience building strong, positive relationships with families in a camp or educational setting.
- Eagerness to Learn: A distinct growth mindset and a willingness to quickly adopt new technologies and skills.
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:45 AM - 5:30 PM (Camp runs from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- remaining time is dedicated to pre- and post-camp preparation).
- Weekly Rate: $1,040.60 - $1,241.25/week
- Starting base pay is $1,040.60, with the potential to earn up to $1,241.25 weekly inclusive of an $85 weekly performance bonus.
