  • The primary responsibilities for this role focus on overseeing invoicing, analyzing, and reporting project financial status for various projects across our continuously expanding organization.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and train accounting staff; manage workload distribution to ensure all departmental deadlines are met.
  • Identify, develop, and implement streamlined accounting procedures and internal controls to enhance department efficiency.
  • Manage the preparation of monthly project advance requests, invoices, and supporting documentation; interface with Workforce Boards to ensure timely payment.

Requirements

  • Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • ability to reconcile complex balance sheets and profit/loss reports.
  • The Accounting Supervisor must be able to maintain a high-level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex financial data for non-financial management and staff.
  • Minimal travel required to meet Project Teams and Board Staff.

Nice to have

  • Proven experience with budgeting and forecasts across multiple funding streams (specifically WIOA or government contracting) is highly preferred.
  • Advanced MS Excel and Accounting Software skills (QuickBooks, Adaptive Workday, and Expensify experience a plus).

Compensation

  • $85,000k - $90,000k based on experience
  • Working Location: PST or MST time zone only.
