About the role

As a key member of the Northpoint team, the Adolescent Therapist/Counselor will oversee the therapeutic services provided to a caseload of clients.
This individual will act as the treatment plan coordinator for the multi-disciplinary team in the development and implementation of the master treatment plan and the discharge plan for each client.
The Adolescent Therapist/Counselor will complete all documentation associated with these duties in a professional and timely manner.

Document clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan, diagnostic summaries, and progress charting in a timely manner to assure comprehensive and quality client care
Actively participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and maintain effective working relationships with employees and peers
Maintain professional boundaries with clients at all times
This person will actively communicate with support staff, treatment teams, and outside agencies on treatment and safety issues pertaining to clients and their family members.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care

1+ year of experience in relevant field
Ability to work with a diverse population and possess strong interpersonal skills and knowledge required for treating adolescent clients assigned
The Adolescent Therapist/Counselor will provide individual, group and family therapy for assigned clients, as required by contractual and licensure obligations.

Master's Degree in Mental Health, Social Services, or another relevant field
Must hold an active mental health licensure in the state where treatment services are rendered
Provide orientation and education to clients, families and others to aid in the therapeutic process
Collaborate with assigned clients in the development of written treatment plans; include client and family involvement in assessment, treatment, education and discharge planning
Provide clinical updates to utilization review and representatives of managed care to best coordinate reimbursement of treatment services
