About the role
- The position exercises professional judgment in shaping messaging, advising on communication approaches, and ensuring information is effectively communicated to diverse audiences.
- This position will actively advance the college's strategic goals, including achieving equity in educational outcomes and supporting a culturally responsive and service-oriented culture, through individual and departmental efforts.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and visual composition.
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, or related field with additional relevant experience.
Nice to have
- Preferred: (desired but not expected to have to enter job)
Skills
- Knowledge of accessibility standards for digital and print media.
- Familiarity with project management or ticketing systems (e.g., TDX).
- Experience coordinating with external vendors for printing and production.
- Ability to take initiative and propose creative solutions aligned with strategic goals.
Compensation
- Visual Communications Specialist
- Salary placement is dependent on education and experience
- Classification: Communications Specialist 2
- Unlimited, Full-time
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday - Friday)
- Hourly from $29.25 to $42.94; Annually from $61,074 to $89,659
